Baby 7: Rebellion

I'm sorry I've been gone, guys! I was going through a rough time, and frustration was high. It took everything I had not to post in June, but I finally broke down. :'( So here's my continue post! I hope you like it. And considering I had a little problem with a few mods on my computer and have been off, the children are aged up. :P

Alex hugged his step-son, Landon. "I know you want to play your games, but you need to do good in school too! I'm revoking your computer privileges." Landon frowned and pouted. "But, Dad!" "No buts. You heard me. Now go get ready for bed." Salline smirked at her husband. He'd grown so fond of the children, and they acted as his own. Landon walked away and took a quick shower.

Landon thought about his late night with Alyssa Elisia. They had cuddled under the stars, and she had accepted his offer to be his girlfriend. It was an odd feeling he had for this girl, and he knew it would only come one time around. Was it.. love? They would be attending the prom Thursday night together, and he almost couldn't wait. Before he went to bed, he finished his homework and picked out a suit. The suit was Alex's old suit from when he was in highschool, but Landon didn't mind.

Micah-Lee climbed up on the top bunk, where she decided she would sleep from now on. She was glad her parents redone her and Jayde-Ann's room, because now there was much more space. She relaxed, and waited for her sister to enter the room. She would give her a surprise attack pillow fight! She would win!

Micah jumped down from their bunk bed and attempted to hit her sister with the pillow. Unfortunately, Jayde was ready. They each pulled out their pillow on each other and began a pillow war. It lasted for a while, until Salline heard them and made them quit. "Go. To. Bed," their mother commanded. The started in a fit of giggles before offering their mother a weak nod. Salline left the room, and Micah turned to face her sister.

"Wanna hear a secret?" Micah prodded. Jayde nodded. "Mom always ruins the fun." The two sisters began laughing again with happy filled tears falling from their cheeks. They soon quieted though, after hearing footsteps near their door. They hugged, and each got in their own bunk. "I love you, Jayde." "Aww, I love you too, Micah." They pulled the covers over themselves and let the sleep take them.

The next morning, the children were up early for school. The ate quickly, and seemed to be enthused. Landon would be starting an afterschool activity. Landon joined football, the most popular sport at school. He was glad about that, but was having one of those days where nobody understood him. He felt like being a nuisance to everyone, just so he might feel a little better.

Alex took it upon himself to clean up the house, that really did need it. Dirty dishes, and laundry. Yuck.

Salline spent an extra amount of time preparing her and Alex a morning meal. He put her at ease with his wanting to help her around the house. After the meal, Salline fed Alan. He is such a cute toddler, she thought.

Later that day, Salline found herself in the arms of her beloved. "Alex, I have to tell you something." "And what would that be, mi amo?" Salline blushed at his spanish comment; my love. "I'm.. pregnant!" she burst the word out excitedly, and he squeezed her. He kissed her passionately. "That's great!" He smiled back at her, but she pulled away when she heard Alan's cries.

Salline carried her son out into the yard, and set him down in the sand. She sat down in from of him, and started playing in the sand with him. He seemed to be enjoying himself, and Salline couldn't help but laugh as he tried to eat the sand. "No, Alan. Sand is not for eating. Sand is yucky." She smiled and pulled his sandful palm away from his mouth. "It's for play." She attempted to make a sandcastle quickly, and Alan tried to help.

The kids got home soon after that. Alex made sure they started on their homework, and signed their field trip permission slips to the mausoleum. He caught Landon trying to copy Allie's homework though and scolded him. "I can't believe you, Landon! You do not, I repeat, not, copy homework! Do your own!" Landon stuck his tongue out at him, and went up to his room to finish his own homework.

Alex approached Micah, and began giving her advice for her future schooling. "See your brother? That's why you don't copy homework. It will never get you anywhere. Besides," he leaned down to whisper in her ear, "the teacher always finds out." He winked and she giggled. "Okay, Daddy." He gave her a warm smile and went to put Alan in his crib.

Jayde played in the sand later that night and tried to make a glorious palace for her sand people. Unfortunately, when she went to add a tower, she accidently hit it when her hand, and down it fell. She screamed in frustration, and went into the house for a shower. She gave up.

Later that night, Landon saw Alyssa in the backyard talking to his sister. He ran up to her and got her in his arms. "I missed you," he said before giving her a welcoming kiss. She pulled back. "I missed you too." She pointed behind her to another boy. Landon's eyes narrowed, but he didn't say anything. "I brought a friend. Hope it's okay." "Yeah, of course it's okay," Landon mumbled, not fully convinced himself.

Allie was impressed by Alyssa's friend, however. "Hi. I'm Allie." She offered him a beautiful smile in which he returned. "Hey, I'm Trenton." Allie fumbled for her words. What should she say? "I.. um. There's a prom, on Thursday. Do you want to come.. as my date?" "Sure. But wear something pretty, or I might ditch you." Allie smiled again. "Okay!" She ran up the stairs to her room and began searching for the perfect dress.

Landon watched him leave. He wanted to warn his new 'friend' that there would be no ditching his sister. His sister was one of a kind; a beautiful, smart, and nice girl. He wasn't about to let this jerk hurt her like that. He focused on his girlfriend instead. He gave her another kiss. "I'm sorry, I have to go. It's almost midnight. Maybe you should go home too?"

Meanwhile, Micah asked her mother if she could sleep with her in her bed tonight. Then Micah grew sleepy, and Salline offered to read her a bedtime story. Micah seemed to like hearing about the dragons as her lids grew heavy. Once she was asleep, Salline put the book on the bed side table, and fell asleep beside her daughter. Moments later, Alex walked in, sighed, and went to sleep in Micah's bunk.

The kids were up at 7 am the next morning. Allie was up first, and finished before the rest even got their plates on the table. Landon was feeling way better after Alyssa's visit, but Allie was feeling off. She felt as if she just absolutely needed to be mean and avoid others today. Which she was already doing a good job of. She made her bed though, so that's always a good thing.

Soon after the children left for school, Salline got those familiar labor pains. Alex broke out in a wide grin and eagerly rushed her off to the hospital. He called a babysitter for Alan, though. It was surprising to see how calm he was, considering the situation. Many more to come, he thought happily.
