Salline held her first born in her hands, the joy and sacrifices of it all rummaging away through her thoughts. What would Alex say about the little on they'd brought into the world? Would he approve? She stared lovingly at the pale child. (He is pale, just doesn't look so in the picture xD) She stared at all his features. He was destined to be a Daddy's Boy, with nearly all of his father's features. She sighed before feeding the baby, and gently pulling the cover over him. She quickly washed the growing laundry and headed to the kitchen to make some dinner. She was determined on getting Alex's approval before getting the next challenge father over.
Not halfway through the cooking, Salline completed her first cooking skill! She grinned amongst herself, knowing that she would never burn food and would grow quite quickly in this skill. She just wished that she didn't have to live with Luna; Not that she didn't like Luna Banks, she did, but she didn't like feeling interdependent. The town should notice how well she's doing so far, and allow her to live without a grown woman. In her mind, she already is one. When she finished cooking the glorious Mac&Cheese, she even gained another skill in it!
After Luna and Salline ate, Salline called Alex and invited him over. He said, "Sure, I'll come over in a little while." So Salline gussy-ed up in the mirror awaing her beloved's arrival. Though she knew she couldn't hang on to her feelings because she couldn't carry any 'baggage.' It was against the rules, and not fair for other challenge fathers, no matter if she loved him or not.
Since it was late, as soon as he got there Salline asked him if he wanted to stay over. He said yes, not shockingly. She took him down the stairs to where Jay laid and showed him his first-ever son. His eyes widened and he shrugged. Salline followed him upstairs after tucking in little Jay.
They talked for hours, as Salline suggested she get to know him a bit more. "What's wrong? Why won't you hold your son?" she asked. "I don't want that life. I want all of this life, not just part of it," he said sadly. She looked down and touched his face. "What if I can't give you that? I want you to be in your son's life," she paused, "even if it doesn't include me with you." He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths. "When's Jay's birthday?," he asked. "2 days." "I'll come to his party. You are having a party, I assume?" She nodded. "Well, I'm going to go to bed now," he said. She nodded weakly, tangled out of his grasp, and went back to her room.
She cried in her room that nice nonetheless. She couldn't help it! The man she loved wanted to be with her, but she couldn't be with him. At least not right now, anyways. She had at least 99 more babies before she would give in to the weakness of love. But why did she feel so...horrible? She cried herself to sleep that night, in an awkward position.
She woke up at 6:30am, checked and fed the baby then had some cereal. As she finished, the bus pulled up and she/Alex ran to catch it. She didn't want to leave her baby here, she loved him, but she had to finish school. Plus she knew Luna would call her home if anything bad happened. "I hope nothing happens", she thought sadly.
Luna cursed under her breath as the repoman knocked and came into the house. "I told that girl to pay the bills!.. No good, good for nothing...," she said to herself. The annoying man walked up the stairs to the second floor and got the bathtub. (Why is everyone obsessed with cheap bathtubs?) "Eh, I was meaning to get a new one anyways," she shrugged. But how would they afford that with only $1,000 left? Luna cursed again as she noticed this fact. She sighed and watched as he hurried out the door with his prize. She'd make a mental note not to depend on 'kids' for the bills any more.
Later that day, with a grumble or two from Luna, Luna decided the house they were currently in was a little too...roomy. (Actually it was too glitchy; My sims had a habit of floating from one floor to the next and disappearing.) She immediately decided to move from the torture chamber.
Immediately when they got home, Salline done her homework and fed the baby once again. Alex didn't go home with Salline that night either, he said something about a job.
(Haha!)
She was sad to say that it was Jay's birthday, but they couldn't afford anything big. It would be a small get together of family, which meant Salline, Luna, and hopefully Alex. They had nobody else. So finally Jay grew up into a toddler, eager to explore with his ability to crawl around the upstairs.
Jay Trish, as a toddler. (Isn't he just cute?!)
..And Luna took it upon herself to change her hair!
Later that day, Salline met a nice boy named Justin Gibbs. She knew right then and there that he should be the next challenge father. "Would you like to be in my challenge?" she asked. "Sure," he said as they walked back to the house. They talked for a while, and then sealed their deal with a kiss.
Before they headed for the bedroom, Salline put a sleepy, reluctant Jay in the toddler crib. Then they continued their plans for the night.
They didn't hear the chime the first time, so they tried again. They heard it soon thereafter, though. Knowing she was going to be pregnant again was heaven to Salline. She hugged the next challenge father and told him good bye. After that, she went downstairs and watched some awesome TV. It was called kidZ Zone. "Anything to help my kids in the future," she grumbled over the sound of skipping bunnies.
Then she headed to the kitchen and ate some leftover Mac&Cheese. "Ugh. I hate leftovers," she decided as she walked up the stairs.
She checked on Jay, and noticed he was quite hungry. She lifted him from his bed and gave him his bottle. Then after he finished, she started to teach him to talk. His first word was: "Cup." Salline smiled as she waited for it to be 7am in about 2 hours.
While his mother was at school, Jay played with his new dollhouse! He got it from Alex who'd sent a little money into the household. Salline was very grateful. Around 8:30am while the bus was taking her to school, Salline grew very nauseous. She knew that was a sure sign, but why did it have to happen at that time?!
When Salline got home, she quickly finished her homework, ate autumn salad and fed Jay in his little horse high chair. She smiled softly as his mouth opened in excitement of seeing his mother; it was clear that he still preferred Salline to Luna even though Luna was his babysitter during the day when Salline was at school. Salline beamed as she handed him his baby food. "At least one person believes in me, Son," she said, fluffing his hair. She felt nauseous again, and walked into the hallway.
She noticed how bare it looked. Immediately, she went to work. Since it was close to the holidays, she decided to let Jay have his first Christmas (X-mas) a little early. She was eager to see the look on his face. She wrapped presents from her and Alex and put them under the tree, and left a very cute one seperate, that way he'd see it first. It was the biggest anyways.
During all this, Luna fed her digital fish. (Maybe that's her replacement for a real friend?) She is a very...odd person. >.>
Close-up of Jay. I can't tell if his eyes are Alex's, Salline's, or a mix! It could be a mix because in game it has a blue and silver sort of look, so I think it's a mix. :)
When he finished, Salline practiced talking with him. "Say 'Champion,' come on, say it," Salline cooed.
"Mommy's a ch-cham-champion," he stammered. She smiled, "Good!"
(Aww! I just had to post this one!)
Once he learned how to talk, Salline picked him up and praised him sweetly, like any good mother should, and he thought about how much he loved his mommy. It was about his bed time, so she put him in his 'big boy bed' before going to her room as well. She was feeling nauseous yet again, so she'd be up soon.
Salline woke up right on que around midnight. The nauseous feeling had passed, but was replaced by an almost not-noticeable baby bump! Having Jay had proved that boys weren’t so bad, and she decided that she wanted another little boy running around. She rubbed her unborn baby that was living in her stomach. What’s the best part of the weekend? Sleeping in! She was still tired, and her baby boy was asleep, so she hopped back in the bed. She would go to the doctor in the morning for a full report, since the doctor persists that she see him/her if she was going to do this challenge. “So the news has spread,” she’d said. “Won‘t be long now ‘til everyone is disgusted with me. I don‘t understand them, what‘s so bad about a nice teenage girl having 100 babies?”
While Salline and her little boy were asleep, Luna decided to make some Renoit Grapes Pancakes. Of course, she burnt them. She grunted in frustration (actually, she screamed, but that‘s besides the point. Yes, if anyone has been wondering, that is a cigerate that she and Alex always carry in their hand. >:D Shows more of her character, yes?) Then she trashed them, before trying to make more.
Over Salline’s first child, Luna had begun to respect the girl’s dream. It made sense, some what. Luna started to help her around the house, which Salline refused to let her, so Luna helped with the small things. Like cooking, and laundry, but that was it. Too bad Salline was better at cooking, and Luna knew that. Luna envied Salline--she could raise children, go to school, and still take care of the house all at the same time. Plus she had the cutest baby boy! She had someone who loved her, but she didn’t love him back. Or at least Luna thought. Jay loved Salline more than Luna, he wouldn’t give Luna time of the day. She tried to be in his life, but he just went to his mother. She envied Salline for that too. She was without all these things, but at least she could help in them.
This time, Luna didn’t burn the pancakes. She ran out of grapes, so she made these Apple. She put the leftovers in the fridge and very hungrily ate some pancakes. Then she got a bit tired, she hadn’t been asleep all night, so she went to bed along with the others.
Salline woke up at 5 am and went to her baby boy. She tossed him in the air, making him laugh, and put him in his rocking horse high chair. She gave him his “bobble” and went downstairs to eat some pancakes.
Her back ached from the pregnancy, but that didn’t stop her from cleaning up her mess! She climbed the stairs slower and let Little Jay out of his chair. She noticed her baby bump had gotten a small bit bigger in just a couple hours. Maybe there’s more than one baby in there? She hoped so! She wanted all the children she could get. Though she did want her first girl, and she wanted another boy. She prayed that they would be mixed gender twins, or maybe even triplets!
She spent her extra time working on Jay’s skills. She would need to teach him to walk, and use the potty soon. His birthday was due in 5 days, which reminded her of Alex. He’d missed their baby’s birthday. He better have a darn good excuse for skipping! Like he better have been dying or something. Salline wouldn’t tolerate such a lame liar.
Halfway through his skill, Jay finally took his first steps. He had a smile on his face the whole time! Salline watched his wobbly steps cautiously, ready to catch him if he fell.
A few minutes from completing the walking skill, Salline started to smell something foul. She scrunched up her nose and kept on with the training. She didn’t want to screw up his good learning streak. We were almost there! He didn’t seem to nice, however. He kept that smile smeared across his face and kept walking. She would change him in a few moments, she had to change them both out of their pajamas anyways.
When he finally finished, he began to cry. Ah, the perks of being a challenge mother. It was a good thing she had some Asprin on hand. She swooped him up in her arms and quickly changed his dirty diaper. (I miss TS2 changing tables! u.u)
(I love this one! It shows her pretty eyes.. ^_^)
She kissed his head lovingly. “I love you, Baby,” she mumbled over his hair.
Jay-“I l-love you, Mommy.” Salline smiled.
Salline-“I know. Guess what?” He looked her in her radiant green eyes.
Jay-“What?”
Salline- “You‘re going to have brothers and sisters here soon, I‘m pregnant.” He blinked.
Jay- “What‘s ‘pregnant’?”
Salline- “Erm.. I‘ll explain when you‘re older” He nodded, changing him into his everyday and sat him down. She was going to try to potty train him, but he’d already used his diaper. She smiled as he headed for his dollhouse. She watched him for a while.
Soon she figured it was about time for him to need to use the bathroom. She gathered him up and put him in the potty chair. She wiped the hair out of his face and encouraged him. “You can do it! You‘re my Big Boy!” She smiled and he smiled back. He got about a quarter of the way on that skill before launching himself from the small chair. Salline cheered and clapped for him before picking him up and holding him close. She squeezed him. It was going to be hard to let any of her children move away, she loved them so.
While Salline emptied the potty chair for next time, Jay wandered out of his room by himself for the first time. (What can I say? He likes his room! :D) He was going to play with the blocks in his future sister/brother’s room, but he stopped when he saw the Christmas tree. His mouth dropped, and he walked very wobbly toward it.
He stared, wide-eyed at the present. “M-Ma!” he exclaimed. Salline appeared behind him quickly.
Salline- “Yes, Dear?”
Jay- “Look!” He pointed at the presents around him.
Salline- “Ooh, I wonder where those come from,” she pretended.
Jay- “You got ‘em.”
Salline- “I did not. Must be Santa.”
Jay looked at her. “Santa not real.” He crossed his arms over his chest to show how determined he was.
Salline- “How do you know?”
Jay- “You did. Me knows.” Salline laughed as he dug into the present and held up his prize. It was the least she could do, only now she had $164.00. She would need to paint or something to get that more money, she didn’t want a job. A job would only take away precious moments like these.
After Salline went downstairs, Jay continued what he was going to do in the first place. He played blocks!
Salline stared at Luna. She was in her way! Not only that, but she was washing HER dishes. She held her tongue but gave her a cold stare.
Salline cleaned the sink, and got bad food out of the fridge. She smiled and snickered under her breath as Luna rushed upstairs to vomit. Luna wasn’t pregnant, though. Serves her right for eating spoiled food! Salline gathered the laundry put it in the washer. Then she called Alex to ask for his excuse.
Salline- “Alex.. Why didn‘t you come to Jay‘s birthday party?”
Alex- “I was busy.”
Salline- “You‘re always busy!”
Alex- “Okay, okay. I didn‘t want to see you.” She winced and her hurt turned to anger.
Salline- “What‘re you talking about? I thought you wanted to be with me!”
Alex- “I do. But it hurts me to be around you, when I can‘t pull you into me and hold you. When I can‘t be with you forever. Do you know what that feels like?”
Salline- “Yes. I think about it every day.”
Alex- “Then why don‘t you stop this challenge and stay with me?”
Salline- “I want you, I do. But I want to do this challenge too. Don't forget his birthday this time.” Then she hung up the phone.
Then she called Justin, the second challenge father. "Hey, Justin! Guess what?"
Justin- "Yeah, Babe?" She bit her lip at 'Babe.' Too many memories.
Salline- "We're pregnant! Erm.. I'm, pregnant." He laughed.
Justin- "Great! I'm a father." Salline nodded to herself.
Salline- "Well, I gotta go, Jay's needs a nap."
Justin- "Yeah, okay. Bye." He seemed like he wanted to say something else, but didn't. She ended the call.
She wasn't lying when she said Jay needed a rest. She was being serious. She walked up the stairs and but him in his toddler bed.
(Bigger bump! Hehe. Remember, this is only the first day!)
Salline went outside for some fresh air before going inside again.
Luna went on The Sims 3 forum while Salline painted. Jay was still deep into his nap.
Geoffrey- "I know who you are." They talked about the challenge for a while, then about his job. Turns out he's a Gene Therapist level 7. Then the paparazzi showed up taking pictures of them.
Paparazzi- "Salline! Salline, hunny. Look over here!" Her eyes widened. She was a celebrity now? Oh dear. She'd heard about Challenge Mothers and what happens when they have their children out of wedlock. She tried to ignore them as best she could, and asked him what he thought the gender of the baby would be. He said that it would be a girl. "My first girl!" she exclaimed happily. She went to the store and bought some watermelons and apples. She'd heard that if you eat tons of watermelons and apples that you could get twins or triplets. She figured it couldn't hurt any to try. When she got home, she ate an apple. She hoped that if since the doc told her she was having a girl, if she had an opposing apple, then maybe she might get mixed gender twins.
Later that night, Salline got up a still-sleepy Jay and put him on his new potty chair. "That's Mommy's Good Boy," she cooed. He completed his potty training! Yay!
Then she fed her little boy in his awesome high chair. This would be the last time. -sniff sniff- He would be a child tomorrow. Maybe Alex would come to see his son? Doubtful. But who knew.
After she put Jay back in his bed, she went to bed herself. She was very tired. She dreamed of a new home full of loving kids. The house she dreamed of was a very modern farmhouse with white siding. Well, I don't guess it was a farmhouse, but it sure looked like one. It was beautiful! It had a playground for the kids in the back, was beautifully decorated and everything!
Baby bump 2!
Mr. Landgraab called early this morning and asked Salline to hurry down there ASAP. She figured there might be a slight complication with the pregnancy. She left Luna in charge (Yeah, she must be VERY fearful to do that.) and headed down to his house. He met her at the fishing bridge right in front of his house. She rushed up to him.
Salline- "Doc. what's wrong?"
Geoffrey- "Nothing."
Salline- "Then what did you call me out here for?"
Geoffrey- "Do you see that house?" He pointed behind him. Salline gasped.
Salline- "OMG. That's the house from my dream!" She jumped with excitement. "How much does it cost?"
Geoffrey- "Zero dollars and zero cents."
Salline- "I wish."
Geoffrey- "No, seriously. I bought it for you."
Salline- "You what? I can't accept that."
Geoffrey- "Face it, you'll need a lot of space for 100 little ones, and besides, I've seen that dump you've been living in."
Salline- She didn't take that offensive. "OMG, omg, thank you!" She pulled him into a life draining hug.
Geoffrey- "You can move it now."
Salline- "Right." She headed home and gathered her things and such before heading to the new house. (I know.. I move a lot. I just didn't like the other one! xD)
Later that day, Salline decided it was time for Jay to grow up. In the nick of time, Alex showed up and cheered for his son. Salline smiled. He wasn't too bad of a dad. Luna was too busy watching the television to come outside, but Jay didn't seem to care.
Jay Trish--child.
New Trait: Family-Orientated.
After Jay picked out his new look, he went outside to enjoy the rest of his nice birthday party. Lisa Bunch had crashed the party though, so she was there. Just because she was a level 1 celebrity she thought she had the right to come to his party. Well, she thought wrong! His mommy was a higher level than she was. (Level 2 now.. u.u)
As the day progressed, everyone except Alex left. Jay was grateful. He and Luna swam in the pool for a bit before Jay got out and approached his Daddy.
Jay- "I'm glad you came, Dad." Alex said nothing. He didn't know anything about being a father. Salline went into the house and left them to talk. Before Alex knew it, Jay wrapped his arms around his father's body.
Alex had no idea what to do. His eyes shifted over to Luna, who just shrugged. Then unexpectedly, Alex put his arms around Jay and pulled him closer. He whispered into his son's ear.
Alex- "I'm glad I came too." Jay pulled away and Alex noted the resemblance between them. Jay looked almost identical to Alex. It brought a tear to his eye, in which he wiped away.
Jay- "What's wrong, Dad?"
Alex- "Nothing." He hugged his son once again. "I have to go, it's getting late." Jay nodded and Alex left.
The night went by smoothly, Luna worked on her piano skills while the other two got ready for school in the morning and slept.
Salline slept in Jay's room that night because he was afraid of his first night alone. He could actually tell this time! It was different when he was a baby. Well, he still his momma's baby just...bigger.

It was hardly 10 pm when Salline went into labor. She grunted as she pushed and tried not to wake up Jay right beside her bed.
Salline's efforts not to wake her son were not rewarded. Jay woke up slowly, and walked to watch his mother calmly. (How odd is that?)
Jay- "You can do it, Mom." Then he walked out.
