Mother To 100: Baby 6: Unfortunate and Fortunate Events

Salline skipped school that day, deciding that there were many chores that still had to be done. Not to mention that her birthday was today. Luna didn't show, as recently she hadn't been coming out of her room. Salline didn't think much about it. She guessed that Luna just needed some alone time.

She cared for the kids too. It was her job, and she'd do it anyway. She loved her kids unconditionally. Forever and always.

Jay took Allie to the park and they both enjoyed a fun-filled day. They had a picnic, and they played all day. They even saw Justin Gibbs, Allie's father, but they didn't talk to him.

Justin's new "friend." Yeah right, I don't think you give that stare to just anybody.

Alex stared at Salline as her new form started to take shape. She was getting even more beautiful than she was before, he wondered if she would like him now that he was a young adult himself.

Then they sat down for a midnight classic birthday meal.

Then Salline pulled Alex off to the side to ask him the big question that she and Addy McKnight had talked about earlier that day on the phone.

Salline "Alex, will you be with me.. and let me continue this challenge?"

Alex "I would."-Salline felt a bit of hope-"But I don't want to be with someone who sleeps with other men while I'm with them." Salline's heart broke. She loved her kids, and she loved Alex. Children come first. She turned, feeling as if she'd been struck, and started to run to her room when Alex caught her wrist; she turned toward him with tears in her eyes. "Why do you make yourself suffer like this? You know I love you.. Why don't you just stop this challenge? We could have many children together." She sniffed and he whiped the tears from her eyes.

Salline "I want to be with you."

Then he pulled her to him and took her to a place of peaceful bliss, all with one kiss. Then he pulled back and stared into her eyes.

Alex "Then be with me."

Salline "I love you too. Do you really mean it?" He nodded and smiled. The only better thing then having many great children was having many great children with Alex. "I will end the challenge." He kissed her again but it ended too short for her liking.

Salline slept rather peaceful that night, glad that she could finally be with her true love. There was only one risk, but it was replaced by an ever better solution. She fell asleep with a smile dancing on her lips.

Alex arrived to the house early, and was quite surprised to see Salline still sleeping. He didn't want to wake her up, he wanted this to be a surprise for when she did arise. He settled into the small space still left on the bed next to her, and waited.

Alex got down on one knee, confident that his beloved would accept his request of holy matrimony. Salline touched his arm.

Salline "What are you doing?" He ignored her and opened the jewelry box holding the shining engagement ring.

Alex "Marry me, Salline Trish. You are all I've ever want and need in life, and I've loved you since the first time I laid eyes on you. Will you be my wife?" He smiled. She stared at it, mouth open wide. Did he know what he was asking? Why would he want her, not that she wasn't thrilled and all. Then she thought, what about the challenge? What about her reputation? What about all of the nice challenge mothers she'd met along the way? Monique Baker was the newest challenge mother she'd met and learned to love. They all had a ton of fun together, but would they still accept her if she got married and ended the challenge? She wasn't for sure, but she concluded that they wouldn't have anything to do with her if she did so. Alex unthinkingly slid the ring on her finger, and she kept staring at it. What should she do?

Salline "I..I can't."

Alex "Why?"

Salline "What about the challenge, what people think? What about my friends?" He turned his back to her.

Alex "You won't marry me because of what people think?! I thought you were better than that. I thought you loved me!"

Salline "I do love you!"

Alex "No, you don't." He walked out of the room.

She saw him walking home. Was she that horrible? Did she really love him? How could she know for sure?

Soon Salline got a call from her an old friend--Addy McKnight.

Addy "Oh my God, are you watching the news?"

Salline "No. Why?"

Addy "Hurry. Go turn it on." Salline ran inside and flipped on the news channel.

Newsman "Earlier today, a woman was found dead today. The autopsy specialist says there seemed to be a struggle. The body had several gashes on her arms, chest, and face, though the specialist says the victim actually died due to a broken neck. Local police officers suggest foul play was involved." Then they showed a picture.

Newsman "The woman has still not been identified. If anyone knows this woman, we urge you to come foward and indentify the body." At first, Salline didn't recognize her. Then the wheels in her brain started turning.

Salline "Oh my God! That's Luna! No, that can't be Luna.. She's in her room."

Salline stared at the empty room. All she found was dirty clothes in the floor. Where had Luna gone? Salline called Addy back.

Salline "That's Luna. What happened to her?! How could this happen right under my nose and me not noticing?!"

Addy "I thought that might be her. I'm sorry."

Salline "I have to go down there. Will you watch the kids for me?"

Addy "Of course. When do you need me?"

Salline "In about 30 minutes?"

Addy "K. I'll be there." They both disconnected the line and Salline went to care for the babies.

While Salline was waiting on Addy, she decided to age the kids up. Landon was really cute as a child.

Allie was next. She and Landon got the same facial features, and obviously different hair. Allie was also very cute!

Micah was excited to see what her sister would look like, and waited for her to age up.

She also inherited her father's butterfly wings. Both of them were stunning!

The twins immediately found the wonders of toys. Aren't they just adorable? Then Addy walking the door, and Salline went down to the station. She identified the body and left in tears. They gave her the urn and she buried it at the local cemetery.

Salline couldn't help but cry once she set up Luna's place of rest. Then, as if summoned, Alex was behind her, cuddling her to him.

Alex "Don't cry, Salline." That made her cry harder, she completly broke down.

Salline "I'm so sorry, Alex." He pulled back and smiled.

Alex "This is how you know you love someone." Salline felt comfort in his words and forgot all about her earlier worries.
Salline "I'll be your wife."

Alex wiped the tears from her eyes.
Alex "I love you."
Salline "I love you, too."

The next few days passed and Salline grew used to the idea of Luna being gone. Alex moved in, and they decided to have a wedding.
